Global Civic Policy Society is hosting a Teach to Learn Series
to provide a platform for autodidacts to share their learning with others.
We believe that the best way to learn is to teach. And we believe that there should be an outlet to share learning with others. We are looking for autodidacts interested in giving short lectures on the topics they are studying.
Guest Lecturer Criteria
If you are committed to learning a topic outside of your vocational work you are welcome to apply to be a guest lecturer in the Teach to Learn initiative.topic area must be one that is a core part of the curriculum of recognized academic institutions.
topic should strive to avoid issues of political and religious sensitivity or at least be thorough in presenting multiple points of view.
Please present your application no later thanJune 11, 2010 (Friday) with a 500 word summary about yourself and the proposed topic by email to: teachtolearn@globalcivic.org
Applications for Guest Lecturers will be reviewed by a volunteer committee who will select the Guest Lecturers. Selected applicants will be notified by email and will share their learning with an audience onSaturday, June 26th at UBC Robson Square Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia.
